Teresa’s Warrior Journey

Hi. My name is Teresa. I survived colon cancer and 10 rounds of chemo 12 years ago. My path was long and arduous. My family and I live in the shadow of that event as we push forward while looking over our shoulder. The physical marks and aftermath are still with me as constant reminders of what we endured. Yet, the situation is far from hopeless. I survived! As anyone who has been through a cancer battle knows, the real work begins afterward as we try to get back to life. There is a need for families to have positive experiences together as they take steps.

Through cancer treatment, there are many sacrifices made by the families. Life “as they knew it” had to be set aside to make space for a family member’s race to save their life. Often, money and time were funneled away from normal family After treatment, the new normal emerges as families try to move forward and “get back to life.” That need presented an opportunity for the unique, vital work of this charity.

This organization has made its mission to support the spirit of families as they fight to find a path forward together. This inspiring work is all about healing, one family at a time. Thank you for your support.
